The Exercise Tracker iPhone application allows users to easily track their exercise activity and weight on a daily basis. The application allows the user to enter activity by date, the type of activity (running, biking, walking, or swimming), the physical level of the activity (light, moderate, less than 5 miles and hour, etc.), the distance (feet, miles, yards, meters, steps), and the time in minutes. In addition to the above, the application calculates your calories burned for each entry.

The application has been written to synchronize with TulsaMillionMiles.com site which has been created by Healthy and Fit Communites (www.healthyandfitcommunities) but can also be used as a standalone application.

Exercise Tracker allows for multiple users to setup profiles per device which are all PIN/Password protected. The user can set goals related to weight management and view their progress.

Registered users of the above web site will enter their username and password which will tie their username in the Exercise Tracker to their account on that particular site. Please note that this is not a requirement to use the application, but the charts on the phone will only show if the user has an account on TulsaMillionMiles.com (a free web site).

Anytime an exercise activity or a weight log is entered on the iPhone, it is automatically transmitted to the TulsaMillionMiles.com website. It also works in reverse so that if someone was to login to TulsaMillionMiles.com and enters their exercise activity weight log, or make a change to their goals, the changes would be reflected the next time the iPhone Weight Tracker was started.

NOTE: Calories burned are affected by your recorded weight in the application. Please be sure to keep your weight updated.

what happened?

All of a sudden this app, which I basically liked until then, changed how it logged calories when I logged a workout. One of the routines that was part of my regular workout had been logging at about 275 calories and one day a little over a week ago, the app changed the calories burned for the workout to 0.3. Doesn't make sense. It also changed the calories burned for another routine from 75 to 0.1. Apparently I've learned how to conserve energy really well! If they ever get the calorie calculations back so they're correct, it would also be nice if they added a way to log a workout done on some of the cardio equipment that most gyms have, like an elliptical trainer, for instance.

GPS tracking would a nice addition for walks or bike rides a section dedicated to tracking the rout and distance and speed traveled and the calories burned in that period of time also auto updating weight VS calories burned for instance if i were to put in 300 lb with a target of 200 lb and i do a work out once a day that burns 1000 calories per day it should do a calculation to determine what you should weigh and how far away you are from your goal. here is the information on how many calories per week for you need to burn to actually lose weight (3500 calories is the rough estimate for the energy contained in one pound of fat. This means that to lose one pound per week, you must create a deficit of 3500 calories per week. Since a week as 7 days, that means a deficit of 3500 / 7 = 500 calories per day.) and sense this is the case a way to track your food would also be nice so that you can see what your calorie intake or deficit is.

Needs more to log

Love this app though i wish I could log other workout info like crunches, pushups, sit-ups, and weighted exercises. Right now I input data into two different apps to keep track of my exercise routine. Would love it in one app!
